Review the IPv6 assurance memo
Objectives
The network owner submits six independent claims for a dual-stack rollout. The memo is titled 'IPv4 audit sufficient' and asks you to accept it without checking IPv6 behavior.
Judge each claim on its own technical merits. Reject incorrect claims using scope-error, compression-error, configuration-error or coverage-gap; accept correct claims even when a neighboring claim is wrong.
Verdicts are accept or reject. Every rejection needs one reason code from: scope-error | compression-error | configuration-error | coverage-gap.
Memo claims
N6-1 | fe80::27 can be routed between buildings by adding a normal router route. N6-2 | 2001::42::17 is a valid compressed IPv6 address. N6-3 | A stateful DHCPv6 address lease supplies the normal IPv6 default router without Router Advertisements. N6-4 | An IPv4 deny test alone proves a dual-stack records service is isolated. N6-5 | fd12:3456:789a::/48 is within the locally assigned unique local address range; internal routing still needs access controls. N6-6 | IPv6 has no broadcast; ff02::1 is link-local all-nodes multicast.
Checks the server runs (3)
- Every line in the fixture carries a verdict
- Accept and reject land on the right lines
- Each rejection cites a valid reason code
Check names are all you see here: the expectations that decide pass or fail, and the reference solution, stay on the server.
Step-by-step hints
The guided walkthrough, in full. It is free: no XP cost, and it does not touch the paid hint ladder or the reveal gate.
- Step 1
Read the request before the artefact
Read each statement as an independent assertion rather than approving the memo's title.
- Step 2
Judge every line, including the boring ones
Account for every supplied identifier exactly once, including claims that need no correction.
Every line in the fixture carries a verdict
- Step 3
Separate what is wrong from what is merely ugly
Ask whether the described behavior follows from address scope, uniquely expandable notation, router discovery and tested protocol families.
Accept and reject land on the right lines
- Step 4
Say why, in the vocabulary the programme uses
Match each rejected assertion to its root technical error. Do not use a scope classification reason for an incomplete assurance test.

Rules summary
XP on pass
40 bonus XP the first time every check goes green.
Paid hints
2 available. Each costs 25% of the lab XP (about 10 XP).
Reveal solution
Scores 0 XP and unlocks only after 3 check runs.
Attempt cap
60 check runs per learner. The runner warns you in the last 10.
